Deployed by Tongling Municipal Government and undertaken by Tongling Ruilai Technology Co., Ltd., the comprehensive renovation project of Langwei Lake, a 2013 livelihood project, is progressing steadily. It is understood that the Langwei Lake, which is located in the municipal metallurgical industrial zone and connects to the Yangtze River, has become a dead lake for "hiding dirt and accepting dirt" due to the long-term inflow of industrial sewage and the accumulation of industrial waste residues. In particular, the lake water rises every year during the flood season, and the industrial sewage in the lake enters the Yangtze River through the mouth of the Langwei Lake, threatening the safety of urban drinking water. The regulation project will restructure the lake and build an ecological revetment project. Culvert pipes and culverts are set up in the drainage open channel to accept the sewage produced by industrial enterprises around Langwei Lake and send it to the sewage treatment plant for purification, effectively solving the hidden dangers of the water source.
